Since about 2017 Red Clay has been a key supporter through the REACH committee of a very successful program at Delaware State University to educate and advance undocumented students known as Dreamers.

Without the Dreamers program most of these students would not have the opportunity to attend or pay for a college education due to their undocumented status.   In addition to REACH committee support there is an opportunity to individually support some of these students through the holidays by providing them temporary housing. or by personal donation.   The housing option can be a great opportunity to meet and get to know some very dedicated young people working to make a difference. See the links below if interested in providing holiday housing or making a program donation.

A brief review of the programs progress from program director Kevin Noriega .....

First and foremost, I would like to thank you all so much for the support that you have provided to the undocumented students at Delaware State University, since the Program’s establishment in 2016.   The Opportunity Scholars Program has now matriculated over 200 undocumented students at Delaware State University.  Furthermore, The Program has achieved a 90% retention rate and a 3.3 cumulative GPA.  Currently, we have 113 undocumented students matriculated at Delaware State University for the 2021 – 2022 academic year.
