The Elizabeth House

The Elizabeth House provides a supportive and rewarding home life for women transitioning from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Inspired by Elizabeth, the cousin of Mary, the mother of Jesus, "who reminded her that she was blessed just when she needed it most" (Luke 1:41-42), members of Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church have committed to providing support through a number of simple, yet helpful actions, such as preparing the house for its first tenants and providing gently used items and household staples to make their new home feel warm and welcoming.

The wife of Red Clay's very first pastor, Elizabeth McKennan, "whose table was spread for the stranger'' inspired us to invite the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church community to an open house on Saturday, January 12, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM (click for more details), when you can stop by, say hello, and take part in this wonderful community partnership.
