Welcome Confirmation Class of 2011-12!Dear Soon-to-be Confirmation Students (and Parents): In case you have not looked at your student ID card all summer, or maybe it has been such a good summer that you forgot what grade you are in, but by our calculations you are either about to start your last year of middle school or your first year of high school. Either way, this is about to be a big year for you! And the best part of this year is that you get to be ………… wait for it …...……. IN THE MOST AMAZING CONFIRMATION CLASS THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!! (this is the part where you hear a huge crowd cheering behind you) Our first class will be on Sunday, September 18, 2011. After the Children’s Moment, we will meet in The Tunnel. The following Sunday, September 25, will be our “Meet and Greet/ Get-to-Know You/Who is this John Moore guy?” in Fellowship Hall after the 10 am worship service. Please bring your parents and a dessert to share. We will provide lunch for everyone! Here are some of the important dates, events, and basic requirements that you are going to want to know about: Sunday morning class: 10:00 – 11:00 am “The Project” (youth group and worship): Every Sunday evening from 5-7 pm October 14-16, 2011: Fall youth retreat (more info to come) October 22, 2011: Harvest Happening: October 23, 2011: One Shot Service Sunday: May 15, 2012: Confirmands present their Faith Statement to Session May 20, 2012: Confirmation Sunday Dates and information for more events will be heading your way very soon. Please complete and return your confirmation registration (enclosed) to the Church Office by September 11, 2011. If you are not entering 8th or 9th grade, or you have already gone through confirmation, that means you received this letter in error. Sorry.
