that in December 2007 members of Red Clay provided $9,000 in Special Offerings
in addition to 80 shoeboxes of small gifts for children. A team of 20 bought, wrapped,
and packed items into family boxes, sustained by a hot lunch from the Sarah Circle.

that on the 28th of each month Red Clay volunteers prepare a dinner
in the Red Clay kitchen and transport it to the Emmanuel Dining Room
on Walnut Street in Wilmington.

that in May 2007 church members (aided by our Boy Scout Troop 29)
collected over a ton of food. This was picked up by the Food Bank of Delaware
for distribution to local families and children's programs.

in 2006 Red Clay assisted nine families with.
donations of household goods and time for mentoring students.

Red Clay's workdays at Habitat for Humanity are every Tuesday
and the 3rd Saturday of each month. Graydon Hurst, Charlie Potts,
and Al Hoefling have all received the Outstanding Service Award
from Habitat for the work they have done. Great going guys!

Red Clay distributes income for the Lawton Trust.
At the present time approximately $100,000 in grants are funded annually,
of which $12,000 is allocated to emergency needs.

in November 2007 Special Offerings and the Lawton Trust
provided $6,000 to the Prison Ministry to help support people
during the time after their release from jail to buy food, clothes,
and housing as they seek employment.

in July 2007 about fifty youth and adults went to Maine to work with East Parish
Housing Ministry in a community restoration project. Funds to support this came
from a car wash, bake sales, home helpers, the Fall Bazaar, stockholders,
and direct donations.
In 2006 a similar team went to Gautier, Mississippi, to help clean and rebuild homes
devastated by Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast the previous summer.
Previous work sites include Maine, Baltimore, and Boston.
