Eric came to Red Clay from First Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor, where he served as a Resident Minister.  Ordained as a teaching elder in 2017, Eric is excited to continue in a life of ministry in this new call. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University, Eric served as a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) in Austin Texas.  While serving as a YAV, he worked with Front Steps, an organization committed to ending homelessness.  He also discerned God’s call that led him to Union Presbyterian Seminary, where he completed his M.Div. and a Th.M, and more importantly met his amazing wife.  Eric spent many summers working (and playing) at Ghost Ranch, a Presbyterian education and retreat center, as well as a summer working at Montreat Conference Center.  Eric and his wife, Essie, enjoy their dog (Bentley), eating good food, coffee, playing board games, and going to movies.
