Service of Light & Hope
- December 5, 2021
- Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
- Coordinator: RCCPC Office
This time of year can be difficult. Midst the twinkling lights and joyful music some of us have hearts weighed down by grief. Some of us agonize over the health of a loved one. Some of us feel despair or simply disconnected. Some of us are heartbroken by the death of a loved one. Some of us have experienced the loss of job, the disruption of routine, the canceling of plans or gatherings due to the ongoing pandemic in our world.
Recognizing the reality of the pain we feel, but also recognizing that as we wait for the birth of the Christ child, of love incarnate and the hope of the world, we recognize that God’s light already shines in our lives, and there is love and hope, even on the darkest of days.
All are invited to join us for a Service of Light and Hope on Sunday, December 5th at 3:00 pm in person and via livestream. The Reverend Dr. Tom C. Davis will offer words of comfort. We will pray. We will light candles in the sanctuary in memory or honor of others. You are invited to have a candle with you as you watch, and will be encouraged to light it alongside us during the service as we honor, as we remember, and as we look forward to the hope that already shines in our lives.
