It’s summer!! School’s out, the sun is hot, and the bugs are biting! Many are thinking about a fun camping trip, spending time in the great outdoors. For others, the outdoors is their home and this can be a difficult and uncomfortable time of year.

To provide a bit of relief for people in the Elkton/Newark area who are experiencing homelessness this summer, Red Clay is once again offering Summer-to-Go bags through Meeting Ground.

You can help! Items to fill the go-bags will be collected ahead of time and this year, we’ll be assembling the bags together after worship on July 10 in Founders Hall.

This is a church-wide invitation! Whether you can contribute items to fill the go-bags, join us to assemble them, or sit with us on assembly day to write a small note of encouragement for each bag – everyone is invited to help!!

To donate any of the following items, please click HERE.

Drop-off bins will be available in Founders Hall beginning Sunday, June 26.

•    Ziploc bags

•    Insect repellant towelettes (preferably deet-free)

•    Sunscreen lotion (SPF 30 or 50)

•    Aloe Vera lotion/gel (for sunburn)

•    Lip balm

•    Hand sanitizer

•    Masks

•    Wet wipes

•    Bandanas

•    Bottled water

These items can make a big difference in someone’s daily life.

All Summer-to-Go bags will be delivered to Meeting Ground's Mary Randall Day Center in Elkton. Questions? Reach out to Leslie Gast or Lynn Moffett
