Winter is just around the corner and colder days are coming. For many, it’s a time to think about cozy slippers, hot cocoa, and warm fires. But for those who live outdoors, it’s a particularly difficult time of year.

To provide some support for people in the Elkton/Newark area who are experiencing homelessness this winter, Red Clay is once again offering “to go” bags” through Meeting Ground. These bags will include lip balm, hand lotion, masks and hand sanitizer, tissues, wound-care kits, rain ponchos, and some special holiday treats.

You can help us to support our friends at Meeting Ground! Each “to go” bag costs about $20 to fill and all of the items have been purchased ahead of time. For $20 (or whatever you are able to give), you can assemble a bag after worship on November 13 in Founders Hall. You can also help by joining us that day to write small notes of encouragement – a note will be included in every bag.

These items can make a big difference in someone’s daily life.

All “to go” bags will be delivered to Meeting Ground's Mary Randall Day Center in Elkton. Questions? Reach out to Leslie Gast or Lynn Moffett, or visit https://meetingground.org/

Thank you for doing awesome things to help others!
