Historical and Geneological Information:

We understand and respect the interest of family historians in finding information about their ancestors. However, Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church maintains only current records and does not retain either recent or ancient historical or geneological information. That information is sent to the national church archives, which are located at the Philadelphia branch of the Presbyterian Historical Society (PHS).
See www.history.pcusa.org/about/phila.html.

Please contact the PHS to inquire about ancestors who may have been members of the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church congregation.

The Presbyterian Historical Society is the national archives and historical research center of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). As the memory of the Reformed tradition, the PHS uses the lessons of the Church's heritage to confront the challenges of tomorrow. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a records management program at the denomination's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, it serves the church's national agencies, middle governing bodies, and local congregations as well as scholars and the general public.

The PHS provides reference services in its extensive collections of published and archival material. Holdings include over 20,000 cubic feet of eighteenth- to twentieth-century records and personal papers; over 250,000 books; and museum objects all documenting the Presbyterian and Reformed tradition. These include the records of predecessor denominations and some ecumenical organizations.
